About Rentaroof
We all need a roof over our heads, and we're here to help you find one
Rentaroof scans every available rental listing across the UK, day and night, so all your options are gathered in one place. No more refreshing five different sites or missing a property because it went live while you were at work. We do the searching, so you can focus on what really matters: not just finding a house, but finding a home.
Why rentaroof?
Rentaroof was built by people who've spent years watching renters lose out on properties simply because they couldn't keep up with the pace of the market. The UK rental sector moves fast and we saw an opportunity to level the playing field with smart, transparent technology.
When you use rentaroof, you see every available property in one overview, and you're among the first to know when something new appears. Our platform crawls thousands of listing sources 24/7 and pushes new homes straight to you through our property alerts, often within minutes of going live. We continuously adapt our tools to the latest market developments, so your search stays one step ahead.

Who are we
Rentaroof is a UK rental search platform operated by Treehouse UK B.V., part of the Dutch Treehouse group. A company that has spent more than a decade building rental platforms in the Netherlands, including Huurwoningen and Pararius, two of the country's largest rental marketplaces.
Our story
Rentaroof was founded in Rotterdam, with a clear goal: to bring the same speed, transparency, and renter-first approach that transformed the Dutch rental market to the UK. After seeing how aggregated, real-time listings made a tangible difference for hundreds of thousands of Dutch renters, the team set out to build a platform tailored to the realities of the UK market, its agencies, its pace, and its regional differences.
How we find listings
Rentaroof aggregates rental listings from 3,500+ sources across the UK, including letting agency websites, portal listings, and direct landlord channels. Our crawlers identify new sources continuously: when a new agency or platform appears in the market, our data team reviews it, adds it to our index, and begins monitoring it within days. Every source is re-crawled multiple times per hour so listings appear on rentaroof as close to real-time as possible.
We don't accept payment to rank properties higher, and we don't hide listings behind paid placements. What you see is the market as it actually is.
Editorial standards
We're committed to accurate, honest information. Listings are pulled directly from their original source and shown unedited; if a property is removed or rented elsewhere, we mark it as such as soon as we detect the change. Our guides, glossary articles, and market commentary are written and reviewed by our in-house team, and we update them whenever rules, taxes, or market conditions change. We clearly distinguish editorial content from sponsored content, and we correct mistakes promptly when readers flag them.
Our team
Behind rentaroof is a small, focused team of product builders, engineers, data specialists, and rental market experts working across our UK and Netherlands offices. You can meet the people behind the platform on our team page.
